A common problem exists with many high performance engines - a significant amount of heat is flushed through the engine through the oil system. In order to counter this known issue, Cosworth designed their oil pumps to increase overall volume, maintain pressure and provide enhanced control to aid in the dissipation of heat.
Features
  • This oil pump modefication starts by taking appart an OEM oil pump
  • and de-burring it to reduce flow restrictions. From there the pump is
  • re-shimmed to increase oil pressure output before being finally
  • assembled with the larger 12mm impeller for increase volume output by
  • 20%.
