At Cosworth, it is important to create designs that optimize engine performance and durability, strength, and longevity are their primary goals. In high performance engine builds, it is essential to have heavy duty head studs to reduce the cylinder head movement for high compression and high boost engines. These types of head studs also optimize the cylinder head to block sealing.

Features

Cosworth manufactured
these head studs from 625+ tool steel with a tensile strength of
260,000psi. Additionally, the head studs have been specially heat
treated in a vacuum-sealed furnace and then treated in a unique nitrogen
chamber that makes them as strong and tough as possible. They also come complete with washers and nuts. They have been
manufactured with a hex broach as well to make installation a great deal
easier.
These genuine studs that we have created also utilize a
base seating feature. This helps to evenly distribute the weight and
pressure load on the stud rather than straining the threads. More often
than not this base seating feature is utilized only in high-level racing
engines but can be yours for any use thanks to Cosworth's expert team.
